Prayer Center Finds Energy-Efficient Aeration with High Volume Units
Bethany World Prayer Center found an aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient way to aerate their retention ponds.
Situation: Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge needed an energy-efficient way to aerate their retention pond.
Solution: This project called for 3 phase power, but a spray pattern with the dimensions of a 2HP High Volume unit. With some special design work we set up 13 units with 3HP (230 V 3 phase power) motors with 2HP impellers. This design fits the pond from both an architectural and electrical engineering standpoint, and it allows the properties Crosses to remain the primary focus.
Background: Bethany World Prayer Center’s campus sits just off Industriplex Blvd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Its main auditorium houses over 2,500 people for worship every Sunday and has several prayer stations accentuated by its retention/reflection pond. With 12 units in the water and one on hand for backup this pond will be up and running at all times!
